Thomas Love, PhD Case Western Reserve University Thomas Love is the Co-Lead of the Data and Evaluation Team for the Heart Healthy Ohio Initiative (HHOI). Dr. Love is a Professor of Medicine and Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University and Director of Biostatistics and Data Science for the Center for Health Care Research and Policy within the Population Health Research Institute at The MetroHealth System. Dr. Love is a biostatistician who has been a part of many quality improvement and research efforts across Ohio over the past 20 years. His main areas of interest include working with electronic health records data to improve the management of chronic disease, and large observational studies of complex interventions. He is an Associate Editor of The American Statistician and has served as Editor of Health Services Research & Outcomes Methodology, and as chair of a NIH special emphasis panel on statistical methods. He also leads the Health Care Analytics track for the M.S. program in Biostatistics at the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences, where he teaches key courses in data science, applied statistical methods, and the epidemiology and analysis of observational studies. In 2018, he was honored with CWRU’s Diekhoff Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching. |
