Rita Horwitz, President and CEO Better Health Partnership Rita Horwitz serves on the Heart Healthy Ohio Initiative (HHOI) Executive Team representing Better Health Partnership as one of 3 anchor organizations along with the medical schools for the statewide external QI support infrastructure provided within HHOI. Ms. Horwitz is the President and CEO of Better Health Partnership (BHP), a regional health improvement collaborative located in Northeast Ohio. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, and her executive team, she is responsible for leading the strategic direction, programmatic activities, and financial sustainability strategies of the organization. She joined BHP in 2011 as its Director of Business Development and later became the Chief Operating Officer – growing the collaborative’s clinical members and community partners, representing all populations from twinkle to wrinkle, across multiple counties. A graduate of The Ohio State University’s School of Nursing, and Case Western Reserve University’s Health Care Executive Management program, Ms. Horwitz has held executive leadership positions in ambulatory healthcare, corporate-based health and wellness, business development, quality improvement, and entrepreneurial start-up ventures. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement, the Carmella Rose Health Foundation, United Way’s Community Advisory Board, United Health Care’s Community Advisory Board, the leadership teams of Cuyahoga County’s Health Improvement Partnership(hip-Cuyahoga), First Year Cleveland’s infant mortality coalition, and the Ohio Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative. |
